The "No more connections allowed on this device" issue with new 8mp Colorvu cameras and I series NVR, does anyone know when Hikvision are going to sort this out? It's been a while now.

I suspect the long-term solution is newer better NVRs with greater bandwidth capability.
No sight of those yet

In the short term, I think that all you can do is make changes that reduce the bandwidth e.g.
Reduce your frames per second.
Use the most efficient CODEC (h.265+).
As a last resort use a lower camera resolution setting.

Easiest solution is to restart your NVR so that NVR cancel all of previous "connections".

I'm not sure whether what NVR you have but I noticed a new patch firmware in the portal this morning for the I Series called 'HC Playback issue (exceeds max user) fix'. It does say importantly that it's not compatible with the 8 channel I series. It's here:
