NVR - Hikvision 2 x 8mp and 2 x 4mp

Hi All,

Im looking to get an NVR for 4 cameras.
Im planning to install 2 turret 8mp cameras in the front - DS-2CD2387G2H
And at the back can be lower quality im thinking the 4mp turrent ones? Any other suggestions here for a better price?

Im looking at a NVR not sure which one to get also what hard drive size is recommended?

Hi @safeqaz

The camera options you are considering make sense and I don't think there are any other significantly different models we would recommend.

In regards to NVR, if the system won't expand beyond 4 cameras, we would recommend the DS-7604NXI-K1/4P(D) 4-ch AcuSense NVR

If you think you might add a 5 or 6 camera to the system in the future, we would recommend the DS-7608NI-M2/8P 8-ch M-series NVR

In regards to HDDs, you can calculate your own storage capacity requirements using this Surveillance Storage Calculator

From our calculations, we would probably recommend an 8TB HDD to get continuous recording for 14 days.
