I'm currently running 3 first gen colorvu's on NVR DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P.
It's great, but i'm looking to upgrade to the latest colorvu g3's and run 8 of them. What do you guys think of the g3?
What NVR would you pair with 8 of the 4k g3's?
The iDS-7608NXI-M2/X isn't available at any of the suppliers I use. Are there any other recommendations?
Change of plan slighty, I think i'll only end up running about 6 g3's. What other suggestions would there be NVR wise?

Check out the specs for "Incoming Bandwidth" on the NVR models and divide that by the number of camera inputs to get the bandwidth per camera.
I too had the 7608NI-I2/8P and it only has 10Mbps bandwidth per channel - which is too low IMHO for 8MP cameras. The 8MP Colorvus I've got seemed to be hampered by it. I upgraded to the 7616NI-M2/16P which has 16Mbps bandwidth per channel (the 7608NI-M2/8P has the same 16Mbps per camera but I also wanted to add more cameras.)
The extra bandwidth will mean less compression is required for each channel's video and audio.
