Will Acuseek come to models like the DS-9664NI-M8

Do we know if Acuseek will be made available on NVRs like mine? DS-9664NI-M8

Or do we think it will be limited to new NVRs only?

Also, am I right in my understanding that Acuseek is a feature of the NVR, rather than the camera? i.e. is it camera agnostic?

It’ll be limited to newer NVRs that have the feature. Even AcuSearch is limited to NXI models.

It’s an NVR feature, however (currently) it requires that cameras have the AcuSearch feature.

Some newer iDS VPro models slated for release later this year will be able to use AcuSeek with standard cameras. Those NVRs will also allow AcuSeek specific event triggers to be created, IE the ability to create an event trigger based on a specific target such as ‘man walking dog crosses line’

It is available on iDS-9632NXI-M8/X with special firmware
