Hello.

Trying to migrate from a BT hub to a new 'SKY MAX' hub.
I have posted over on the Sky forum.
Last resort is getting my installer of 3.5 years ago involved, rather not. So I have a fresh sky box and a suitably tweaked old BT box that works.

Cannot see wired CCTV box in 'MY Sky app' port forwarding list but can in web 192.168.0.1 connection, port forwarding is not available on the web admin login, only via the APP.
Moved from BT where I had my CCTV set up with port forwarding, can see the wired connection via the admin login, port forwarding is on the My Sky app and its not in the list, only wireless connections.

Also. BT app was set to 192.168.1.1 start and Sky is 192.168.0.1.

Everything works on the old BT router, but need to send that back. I have the settings.

Thank you.

What make and model is your CCTV box please?
Hello Phil.

The model is Hikvision DS-7608NI-I2-8P 4K 8 channel NVR with inbuilt POE, 4TB HD with 3 x Hikvision ColorVu & Live Guard DS2CD2347G2-LSU/SL IP Turret Camera.

In addition there was a static IP set on the previous, BT router. Would there be anything set on the PVR, i.e. fixed IP. (I am not a network expert....yet!).

You need to connect the NVR to the network under the new router.
Then use Hikvision's SADP tool to edit the NVR's IP address so that it is within the domain range of that router.
I'll see if I can find a tutorial here / the steps better explained for you.

Here's a guide for what Phil describes :)

Thank you both of you.
I will study the guide.

The Hikvision NVR is hard wired to the router currently. Its in the loft, and when I plug a cable from the router into the wall socket it shows up in the web browser admin on 192.168.0.1 SKY login.
The BT login was a different number. I think it was 192.168.1.1. or something and the range set in the BT router is different. I dont know if the installer changed that.

I can see the MAC address and it says connection 'ethernet'. To set port forwarding the MY SKY app is apparently the way to do it and not the web browser admin login to the sky router.

I have screen grabs of both router settings and currently have the BT router I havent sent that back yet.

I havent studied the guide yet, thats next.

Can I change the router range on the SKY to the BT?
I did that two days ago and couldnt login, so factory reset it.

Thank you for the quick replies.
