Changing Admin password without knowing the old one?

Hi,
Customer has just bought a house with HikVision DS-7208HUHI-K2 fitted. To be able to set it up, we need the current Admin password.
I have used the SADP tool to reset the password using the 'Forgot password' link.
I have exported the XML file, set it to import and created a new password, however when I select 'Confirm' I get the error message "Failed to reset password. Other. 2001"
Any thoughts as to what is going on ?

I can also get an error "Failed to reset password. device denied."

You cant change it yourself without knowing the old one. What you need is to send that xml to hikvision support and hope they will generate you a reset file. Its not their practice to help end users, but there were exceptions.
