Hello, my 4C425 is installed under shade, but its PTZ gets some sunlight between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. During this time, the 4C425 disconnects from the switch, and the only solution is to restart it, which sometimes needs to be done multiple times if that time period is not passed, and after that time period, it works normally.
Here’s what I diagnosed:
The local after-sales service is poor, and I don’t want to send the camera to them because it might come back with more problems.
My final thought is that heat might be causing the twisted pair to increase resistance, leading to disconnection from the switch.
Is this camera self-repairable?
The camera still has 2 months of warranty left, but this problem has slightly worsened even though current temperatures hardly exceed 34°C (compared to 45°C during installation).
total time i used this camera is 4-5 months
Here’s what I diagnosed:
- The memory card keeps recording, which shows the camera itself is fine. (Camera is power through 12vDC comes along with camera box)
- The RJ45 connector on the camera side had some issues during installation but works when twisted in a certain way.
- During the rainy season, the camera stays connected for days without a single disconnect. My area has a 15-day monsoon season recently that what i come to that conclusion.
