This is my first posting to this forum, I'm hoping someone is able to help me.
I've had to replace my HikVision 7204 DVR and I've noticed that the HVR interface is slightly different to the older version I was using.
Not withstanding, the problem I am having is with motion detection.
For some obscure reason, even though I have defined an area in the normal event section where I wish the DVR to record when motion detection is activated, I still get motion detection activated and recording taking place well outside of that area.
I have cleared all the areas and reinstated them, I have also motion detection enabled, it's not on continuous record.
For example, I have a camera which is pointing to the driveway and whenever a car passes on the road, some 20 yards away, the DVR records.
I've lowered the sensitivity to 20 on each of the 4 cameras, but to no avail.
Can anyone help please?
