First impression.
-- Exposure setting "fixed - manual".When adjusting exposure, there is a warning to adjust to 1/25 or less.
The caveat is there to avoid "smart event" problems.
-- Video setting - maximum speed 8192 !!!!
-- WDR setting - on or off.I think this feature really works. The difference in tuning is good and useful.
-- Adjusting parameters for the image. There is a possibility for different settings of the image in relation to the time interval.
-- The white light/IC is designed completely differently. It's like there is a hole in the camera that is covered by glass.
-- There are various connections and many cables. The quality of the work itself is very good.

These are the first impressions after, because I installed the camera today.
If you look at the specifications for this camera -0.0014 Lux @ (F1.0, AGC ON),This camera went into the IR light mode very late, when it got dark !!!
The image is very good and sharp, but I will wait a little longer to better compare the image quality with other cameras.

A couple of things to note:
-- Exposure setting "fixed - manual".When adjusting exposure, there is a warning to adjust to 1/25 or less.
The caveat is there to avoid "smart event" problems.
You want to be logging into the camera directly if it's on an NVR and setting the exposure to auto. You then set the upper and lower limits (for instance 1/10,000 and 1/50). You don't want a fixed exposure - the image will be over/under exposed according to the changing light level)
-- Video setting - maximum speed 8192 !!!!
Again check that directly in the camera. I've noticed that max bitrate for many of the new 4MP cameras is 8192 Kbps on the data sheet, yet I've got them set higher.

Something doesn't seem right.
Setting the exposure on the camera has only a fixed setting .
When I access directly from the NVR, then I have the possibility to adjust the gain !!!!
When I access the NVR through the computer, I don't have the option to adjust the amplification. There is no option for that.
When I set the exposure value to 1/100, the image flickers on some details.

I went back to the initial version Firmware , but there is still no possibility to change the exposure. Fixed 1/25, 1/50, 1/100....
The possibility to adjust the gain is now available when accessing the camera directly.

Yes, yes, I understand now.Only if the DAN --Color mode is selected, then the gain adjustment option appears.

Is there a newer Firmware for the camera models Guanlan ? My opinion is that the camera and NVR compatibility is not good.

Some impressions to start with.
-- I tested the "smart event" function for a few days and there were no false alarms.
-- The white light is stronger and better by 10 / 20% when compared to the G3 model.
-- There is a choice between two "smart event" algorithms.

Not that I'm aware of. In your original post I used the serial number of your camera to search on Hik Partner Pro app and the version I posted is what came up. The model you have is not available in the UK.
My opinion is that the camera and NVR compatibility is not good.
The compatibility will be fine, but some functions/settings that are available on the camera will not necessarily map directly to a corresponding setting available on the NVR. That's always been the case and is to be expected. Example - for several years you couldn't set min/max boxes and target validity for smart events via the NVR. It was only possible directly in the camera. Over time, NVR firmware gets updated and some additional functions become accessible in the NVR. But that's NVR dependant; if it's an older NVR firmware updates are few and far between.

Hikvision NVR - DS-7608NI-M2/8P,firmware V5.04.081 build 260112.
I installed the camera with the firmware that came with the camera and I could not enable "smart event" directly on the NVR.The button on the NVR did not want to stay in the "enable" position. The button always returned to the initial position. But the camera was working and sending notifications to the NVR.
After that, I installed the new firmware that you sent and the situation improved. I was able to enable the "smart event" directly from the NVR.By changing the firmware on the camera, it was good.
The date of manufacture of the camera is 12/2025

JB1970

The version the camera came with was V9.5.4...... and the current version is V9.5.20.....the difference is 20 - 4 = 16.
If you look at the numbers, the difference is big.
Is it possible to find the firmware versions that were between these two versions?

That's not how it works! I'm no expert but take the first number as the major version or platform, the second number would be a release incorporating multiple changes and the third number (or 'point' release) is minor revisions. In the case of your camera there aren't necessarily any versions in between .4 and .20 available, but the developer may have worked through multiple minor code revisions that weren't released.

With the NVR- M2 recorder, I reached the number **** 81, and maybe we will reach the version ****91.
I'm thinking, is it perhaps important to update the firmware regularly?
I'll tell you a little more about how this camera works.
During this short time of operation, there were no false alarms.

Everything is better now. Thank you JB1970
What did I do--I updated all 4 cameras and NVR again, but this time I downloaded all the updates from one place.I downloaded all the firmware with the help of the serial number from Hik-Partner pro.
Let me try to describe my impressions of the image quality.
If I compare the picture, in my opinion, this camera has a better picture than the G3 model. This is the complete opposite of reading and comparing technical specifications.
This camera provides a sharper image. Details are much better visible, the image is sharper and more realistic. The color is more intense and the overall picture is " strong ".When you look at the grass, greenery, car colors, people's faces.....everything is more realistic and more striking. It has a less pronounced digital look to the image.
The only problem was with the headlights of the car. They were too bright.

The most important thing is that there have been no false alarms so far.I drew two different lines on the same direction of movement. When you cross both lines, the camera sends only one notification. It reports only one alarm.
If I were buying cameras right now, I would get 4 of these cameras.

Camera test results.
The test was done in the following way.I drew two different lines on the street.
-- The first line is about 15 / 20 meters away from the camera. There I indicated that the camera should only detect "people".The camera identified 87 targets as "human".A man on a bicycle also passed by and he was identified, like the others(human). The camera accurately made the difference between a man and a car.
-- The second line is about 20/25 meters away from the camera. I marked there that only cars are identified. The camera identified 37 targets as cars but did not identify two cars. One vehicle was an ambulance van and the other vehicle was a small truck for transporting cars when they break down. The camera accurately made the difference between a man and a car.
The camera did not register those two vehicles...the square following the vehicle did not turn red when the vehicle crossed the line. The camera caught the vehicle on video and threatened that vehicle but did not react.
I tested that over the course of the day.Birds, cats, dogs.....car headlights, falling snow, rain...... have no effect on the camera and do not give false alarms.
There are also problems with the operation of the camera and NVR recordings.I will write about those problems later.

Where are the problems???
My Hikvision NVR - M2 is connected to a 4K TV. I compared the image quality on the TV which is directly connected via hdmi cable to the NVR and the image on the monitor from the computer. I find the camera through the IP address and look at the image quality on the computer (monitor).
I did the camera settings, a little via the NVR and a little via the computer.
It took me a few days to figure out that the camera and NVR don't do all the settings at the same time.
If you set the day/night/automatic switching on the camera, the NVR does not recognize that setting. The NVR leaves the previous parameter setting.NVR and Camera are not synchronized to work together to set auto/day/night option. There was an image quality conflict between the TV and the monitor. It took me a couple of days to figure out what the problem was.
There was also a problem with the firmware the camera came with because I couldn't enable the "perimeter protection" option.
-- This camera model looks like a still UNFINISHED model, which needs to be worked on to improve.
This camera model has good potential but probably needs a new fiemwarw revision. What I like the most is that this camera has no false alarms. You can turn on the speaker and you won't have any problems, because there are no false alarms.
For home use, this camera is of high value.

I'm comparing all of this with the 2347G3 and one 2387G3 and previous experience with the 3386G2 cameras.

I forgot to write the main problem.
When you set the "Day/Color" option, the exposure gain is 100%.If you want to change the option to "Night", then the camera transfers the exposure setting to that operating mode.
If you set the exposure gain to 50% when the camera is working in "Day" mode and then switch the camera to work in "Night" mode, then the exposure gain of 50% is also switched to "Night" mode.
If you want to adjust the exposure strength, when the camera works in the "Night" mode with the IR light on, you must first set the exposure gain in the "Day-color" mode, and then switch the camera to work in the "Night" mode with the IR light on.
This needs to be done on the camera and not on the NVR.After that, be sure to check and correct the settings on the NVR-- Day/Night/Automatic.
