I recently purchased two Hikvision cameras, model DS-2DE2C400MWG-E-2.8mm. Upon initial installation, both cameras functioned normally without any issues. However, after a few days, a problem began to occur.
The cameras operate normally during live viewing, both through the Hik-Connect application and via a web browser. The issue arises when attempting to access recorded footage. Playback initially begins without issue, but after approximately 30 seconds, the video freezes. At this point, the camera does not appear offline in Hik-Connect, but its interface becomes inaccessible both through the Hik-connect application and the browser.
In some cases, the camera automatically restarts and temporarily resolves the issue. However, in most instances, the camera does not restart on its own, and I am required to manually power cycle it. The recordings are stored locally on a Kingston SDCS2/256GB microSD card, and the cameras are not connected to an NVR. Additionally, when the camera freezes and fails to restart, it continues recording, but the resulting files are corrupted.
