Hik-Connect How can my acusense camera trigger the alarm system when there is a violation in the safe area?

Hi,

I have below systems:
Alarm: Hikvision AX HYBRID PRO DS-PHA64-LP
Cameras: Hikvision Acusense DS-2CD3T46G2-ISU/SL
NVR: Hikvision DS-7616NI-K2 / 16P

Infrastructure:
  • all cameras connected directly to the NVR
  • 2x0.75 cables are drawn from the alarm output each camera to the alarm module. We connected alarm out1A & Alarm out1B. we use out1A as zone and out1b is com.
  • Siren wired to the alarm module
  • NVR and Alarm both connected to Hikconnect
The situation is as below, and I want to realise the following scenario:

Our house's garden is surrounded by acusense cameras. When I activate my alarm system in STAY mode, the cameras should trigger an alarm when there is a violation of the safe area I have set in the garden area.

I activated the smart function(s) (region entrance and/or intrusion detection) of each related cameras. I drew a security zone. (A1) selected as Trigger Alarm Output via cameras web portal. When there is a violation in the safe area, the camera's flashlight turns on; the camera gives an audible warning as per its own feature. However, when the alarm is active, I expect the alarm to be triggered, but it does not trigger the alarm.
 
The alarm output on the cameras may have some resistance as its not a relay but an open collector.

Is the alarm output schedule set to 24/7?
Have you defined the zones in alarm configuration?
Can you trigger zone manually with short wire disconnect?

Is the alarm output schedule set to 24/7? WHERE SHOULD I CHECK THIS? IN THE CAMERA'S WEB PORTAL? OR ALARM MODULE? CLARIFY PLEASE??
Have you defined the zones in alarm configuration? YES
Can you trigger zone manually with short wire disconnect? YES. I CHECKED WITH ELECTRIC VOLTAGE TESTER TO SEE OPEN/CLOSED. WHEN SOMEONE GOES IN THE AREA, THE TESTER START BEEPING.

Defining zone - can you screenshot zone settings?
Perhaps you need to switch NO/NC to actually trigger, need to see zone settings in order to add additional information.

for the 2x0.75 cable coming from the camera's alarm output, I connected it to zone 8. As far as I know cameras alarm outs NC. I setwiring mode as SEOL and choose 2.2k resistance.

Yes since output is open collector and it does have some resistance by itself. Since you added 2k2 to that output and said in zone settings its 2k2. It wont work if its other value.

Remove resistor and change from SEOL to NC

Let me know the results

Settings Camera’s web portal:
  • Intrusion detection is ENABLED, Detection target: HUMAN
    • I decided to connect Alarm out1A to Zone4 and “Alarm Out 1B” to a related com port.
    • From the mobile app, I added the related camera as network camera to alarm system and a new device as an “other detector”. I’ve set the settings to wiring mode: No EOL; detector contact mode: NC, linked related camera. Please see the attached pictures.
  • After the above settings, I tried arming the related zone to make a test. Fault! I changed the Detector contact mode to NO and tried again. The system is armed for this zone. However, when I walked in the Intrusion area, neither the flash worked nor the alarm triggered.

hi, good morning. I'd like to inform you that the length of the cable I use is about 5.5m. Even so, do you want me test with shorter cable? Besides, I want to make sure that I have connected the camera's alarm output wires to the correct place on the alarm panel. which cable should be connected to the zone terminal in the alarm panel: Alarm out1A or Alarm out1B? Please look at the attached picture .

I want you to test with anything you have. Just to see if Zone is triggering at all.

Like any scrap of wire you have. Could be 10cm wire, just short Z and COM

Also check on what fw version your alarm panel is. I have a firmware that fixes the problem with built in zone inputs. Cache wouldnt clear itself, and they would become unusuable. Firmware is attached please upgrade if proven that zone is not responding

  • · the “detection zone test” from the app. Responded as "detector is normal status".
  • · Armed as away/stay the related zone: I started moving in the area. The camera did not respond for a while. I continued moving and after a while alarm triggered. The buzzer of alarm panel started alarming, and i received a warning “burglary alarm” from the mobile app

First triggering has taking a bit longer time after installing longer cable. 2nd time, I was armed and walked in the armed zone. Alarm acted/waken up immediately. Now with the same setting I will make a real time real location test. the cable is much more longer... we will see the result

Hello,
Good news!! I had a new test with a real zone camera, a real distance from the Alarm module. It's working. Please let me know if I should still update my alarm panel.

If we are going to accept our test result is correct, I would like to inform you about the connection between the camera's alarm output and the connection port of the Alarm panel: white/black cable from the camera (out1A) goes to the COM port and white/red cable from the camera (out1B) must be connected to Zone.

Ok Good to know. The update i uploaded fix the bug that might occur and might not.

The bug is hard to notice, it will disable zone status, and and trigger wont work. So user wont know until burglary happen and there wasnt a trigger.

If i were on your place , i would update.

updating is asking a PIN code

If your panel is added on HPP, apply for PIN there as an installer. If not it should be visible before you click upgrade settings
