M Series NVR - Firmware V5.04.070 Release 250828

Cleared browser cache and cookies but still can't access one camera!

Thanks for all your help so far.

I also experiences Live View failing using the web app after latest firmware update (.40).
Strange thing is that double click on the view does show the live camera view in full screen. Please check.

I don't think it had any significance, but I did delete "Cached images and files" in Edge before I tried reloading "Local Service Control" and "Web Plugin Components".
Intrigued that you are still loading Local Service Control. I thought it had been replaced by Web Plugin Components and haven't installed it since that was introduced a while ago.

You are probably correct... I'm not sure! My cameras seem to download "Local Service Control"... in the browser GUI...

My NVR downloads "Web Plugin Components":

I’ve not kept up with v5 firmware since I got burnt with some teething issues way back in Jan 2024.

I wondered if those who stuck with it could say if a few of my issues were fixed. Would like to try again but dont want to wipe and then have to go back (if that’s still possible?)

From prev thread:

Does camera detection go full screen for a certain amount of seconds as per GUIv4. Perfect use case for a camera at a front door, someone knocks at the door, camera detects, and the monitor goes full screen so you can see exactly who is there,

Do the menus in full screen grid to timeout and disappear as per v4. Its distracting having menus stuck on the screen when you have a grid of many cameras on display

Is there a more simple way to access your PTZ controls, In GUI4, I could make a PTZ full screen, click on the PTZ button in the menu bar, and have instant access to PTZ controls. The presets in gui4 were a nice feature too - actually being able to see where your present pointed too, it seems a step back just having a list of presets.

Still not, but there is the alarm pop up window... not as good functionality as V4 "full screen":

No... here's where GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE... or we're the only two users who care it was a good timeout... hard to believe :(

No change here either... not a pet peeve of mine, but the PTZ/preset functionality was better in V4 :(

Anyone seen new firmware around the corner? Has been very quiet around firmware updates lately

The DS-76xxNI-M2 series NVR product pages no longer show the latest firmware... I suspect we have seen the last firmware updates for these :(

So much for "HOT" :)

Maybe, maybe not. Who knows with Hikvision. I did notice a couple of weeks ago that all links for the DS-76xxNI-M2 were gone from the UK, EU, and Global firmware search pages which is strange. However I've noticed that happen with some camera models previously too, only to re appear.

Mine got eBayed and I replaced with the I2-VPro. I've had that model several months now and have never yet seen firmware in either the firmware search area or the product pages - I have to regularly do a serial number search on HPP to find new versions.

Did anyone resolved the issue with Edge where the live view page shows blank unless double clicked on it?

I have been playing with this recently - if I uninstall any hikvision browser plugins and then change the streams to "sub streams". Then I select grid view and finally click the play / triangle button at the bottom of the screen. Then all my cameras play live feed in edge OK fine.

Might be that you need to update your LocalService Components / Webplugin depending in what you use. But they are not compatible with each other. More than likely Local Service Components is what you need. Latest version can be found on Hikvision site - HiTools
Uninstall any previous version prior to installing new version.
