No Internet connection to my HIKVISION 4.0 NVR?

Hi Guys

My HIKVISION 4.0 NVR is connected to my router but is still showing offline status. I can access the NVR via my PC on the same network and have tried a few different set ups but not having any luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Search the forum for Network Settings.
Make sure that you have entered your router's IP address in the gateway field, and entered values in the DNS fields.

I have also checked the internet connection by connecting the ethernet cable from the DVR to my laptop and its ok.

Have you visited www.hik-connect.com and created an account and entered your NVR's serial number there?

Yes it is shown as offline

Who is your ISP?
Is it a standard consumer internet connection?
(not a business or mobile internet provision)

I am with sky and there home internet. I am still using the sky router around 4 year old.

Are you entirely sure that you are using the correct IP address for YOUR router?

Check via ipconfig?

I Believe so, this is from my PC. I presume the Ethernt port will have the same IP adress as the wifi.

OK - all looks good.
Try setting the primary DNS to 8.8.8.8
And the secondary to 8.8.4.4 please

Nothing else comes to mind right now.

Have a look at the list in the first Post here, and also the troubleshooting guide pdf from Hikvision for this (attached to the last post in the same thread):
Hik-Connect - Hik-Connect portal error message "No device is found. Make sure that the serial No. is correct and the device is connected properly."

If none of the above clues help, then please update here - A N Other might have a 'penny-drop' thought that I am lacking right now
