PoE switch for 6 x DS-2CD2387G2-LU cameras

Hi, I’m hoping some of you more knowledgeable might be able to help me. We currently have a Hikvision system comprising of 6 x DS-2CD2387G2-LU cameras and a DS-7616NXI-I2 / 16P/S NVR. I’ve upgraded our home broadband and network and I will shortly be replacing my NAS with a beefier one. I’m wanting to move away from the Hikvision NVR and use Surveillance Station for many reasons. The DS-7616NXI-I2 / 16P/S is loud and I mean VERY loud in our bungalow and I have given up trying to make it quieter. Additionally with a more powerful Synology NAS I should have more control over the cameras and future upgrades. My network upgrade is almost complete at 10Gbe and I’m looking for a suitable PoE switch that can handle the throughput of these cameras in UHD. It’s entirely possible that we’ll add one or more cameras in the future so an 8 port with 2 x 10G SFP+ Ports for the backhaul is the minimum we need.

Any suggestion or help will be much appreciated.

From Hikvision, we would probably recommend the DS-3T0510HP PoE Switch, which is the 8-port switch that Hikvision offers with 2 x SFP ports.

This is an industrial PoE switch, but there aren't many non-industrial 8-port PoE switches that also support 2 x SFP ports.

You might be able to find some other options from brands like TP-Link and Zyxel
