Hik-Connect PTZ presets gone? - hik connect update 6.7.1

Have just updated to the latest version of hik connect on iPhone - and all the ptz presets have gone from all of my ptz cameras across multiple sites. All I’ve got is a man standing with an empty box - which isn’t very helpful am I the only one?

Minor gripe - when you enter the app - the notification badge on the homescreen doesn't reset to zero. You have to force quit the app and restart it for the little red box with the number in it to disappear.

Just updated - restarted the app - ptz presets are still blank across all ptz cameras / all sites. And notifications are still not disappearing off the app badge once you’ve opened the app.

They never did disappear until read it’s always been that way as far as I’m aware. That would be the preferred behavior, l wouldn’t want the badge to disappear, otherwise I might open the app briefly to check a camera and then forget I had a number of unchecked events. It’s consistent across my iOS apps. I currently have a 1 badge on my mail app - open it and close it - the badge is still there (as I didn’t open the unread message)

Yes - usually I'd open the app - look at the notifications - pull down on the screen to refresh, and exit, even though in the app it still said 99 on the bottom of the screen - on exiting, the badge number would disappear - now it doesn't. I have to force restart the app and then it disappears.

Now at 6.7.52 where it mentions presets for a couple of models - none of which I have - and all ptz’s that before had presets still don’t.

I just loaded Hik-Connect 6.7.52 also...

I don't use Hik-Connect to move to presets on my 2 old model PTZ's but I checked now... my "Back PTZ" has 6 presets (with the default names Preset 1, Preset 2, etc.) but this is what shows up in Hik-Connect:

Only Preset 4 and Preset 5 are there... they do work despite the misnaming.

Does this also happens on non-PTZ cameras? My cameras are not PTZ and by selecting the PTZ icon I see 256 Presets. Not working of course. This is Android version 6.7.50.1204

Yeah, that's me saying "why 6 updates to Hik-Connect and Hik-Partner Pro in the last couple of weeks while no fix for all the duff firmware?"

It's been over 2 weeks since they broke it - so I'm not hopeful. They seem to have a bit of a casual attitude when it comes to 'improvements' breaking things along the way that then don't get fixed again for weeks/months/years/ever.

Another update to 6.7.350 and still no ptz presets back on the scene…. Although isn’t 6.7.350 an earlier version than 6.7.52? Or is 350 actually three hundred and fifty?

Even in app updates hikvisions numbering system doesn’t make sense

It makes the use of my cameras so prehistoric without the preset option

It says error code 4 when I try and add a preset

I'm running the latest Hik-Connect also but I don't think it makes a difference...

I tried "Delete Device" in Hik-Connect (for my NVR, probably would work for an individual camera also?)...

When I re-added the NVR to Hik-Connect my six PTZ presets reappeared, and they are working...

However, he preset names I have assigned on the NVR did not carry over to Hik-Connect

I just tried that - deleted it - added it again - and they've not come back for me sadly.
