Door Entry Video doorbell has temporary password option but video intercom doesn't?

We've had a DS-KD8003-IME1 gate intercom and it always puzzled why hik wouldn't add temporary pin option to allow for deliveries and the like.

I just noticed in the HikConnect app that our DS-KV6113-WPE1 doorbell does have a temporary pin option now. What gives? Why one device and not the other, especially as it's the video intercom that's more likely going to be connected to gates.

Is the "temporary pass" feature a recent addition? I can see it when I select the indoor video station connect to the doorbell. I've not updated the intercom firmware in the last six month so perhaps there might be a new firmware with this feature? Anyone know what is going on?

Update since I remembered this post.

It appears the "authorize" option is now available in both indoor station for the hik doorbell and video intercom now.

However, when I try to generate a temporary pass, I get "invalid content" error.

Has anyone successfully generated and used temporary passes, to allow for parcel delivery and the like. Any caveats I should be aware of?

Note, I get the error on both devices which are on two completely different sites. Only commonality is my hik account/phone.

You will need a new firmware on your intercom door station that comes out at end of this month or start of the next.
They prepared everything, but its not oficially out yet. Be patient a little longer.

Ah that's fantastic news. Will look out for the next firmware upgrade.

Incidentally how are you aware this is to be the case?

I find I keep to the latest firmwares when they are available and skim read the release notes but the documents are not greatly laid out, and the English poor that I'm sure I miss interesting and useful features.

I get updates directly from hikvision. Working for a national distributor.

@trempa92 or @kyle are you able to confirm with Hik if a firmware will be released for the A revision of DS-KD8003-IME1 to enable temporary passes?
I see v3 is available for the B revision but don't know if that is the one trempa92 was referring to as there no release notes. appears v3 is also available to my DS-KV6113-WPE1, but that is latest (C) revision.

Will be very disappointing if this critical feature is not given to the earlier revision.

FYI: Firmware released still does not allow hik connect connection, because backend isnt ready yet for this device.

It works with approval only KD8003. Integrated them in my app adding pins work. Also rev A wont get updates, villa received same batch aswell 3.7.x

Good evening all,

im after some help been having the same issue as mentioned above. ive been able to generate temp passes for a while now but all of a sudden ive been getting the invalid content error. im using a KD8003 and a KH8350. ive updated to latest firmware's etc they mention in the notes that its a supported feature now also on the KH9510 (also tried but not joy). ive spoken to Hikvision direct and they give conflicting info like its only supported on the ip versions of indoor stations not android, or its not supported on the KD8003, i explain it is they dont believe to so i have to send evidence of it working etc just going round in circles. also according to one hik support guy you dont need a indoor station any more for the KD8003 which there is a new option when configuring on the web browser to enable hik connect but when adding to the app says this device is not supported.

any ways any help would be appreciated
