I have 2 pc's with iSpy on LAN and 1 remote, all don't work.

I have tried multiple times and added extra users, still no go??

Just wondering how old your firmware versions are?

I do have it working with the FFMPEG tab with rtsp:// but lost use of my PTZ presets.

Not sure if its the 'user pass' or http:// stream? im really not sure how iSpy connects with streams??

Also 'Onvif Device Manager' showed the video after switching to H264. Not sure how it uses the stream as its has 'http://192.168.1.64/onvif/device_service' and I see rtsp:// address at the bottom of the video??

Still cant get the local 'Onvif Device Manager' to work, seems to be a difference in pic below?? (local 1st pic)

Not really sure where to go from here??

Try changing your IP. Use an other and not 192.168.1.64. Assign this new IP only for your camera's MAC Address in router settings.
Also change DNS Server. Try primary 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4. Then reboot.
Is your camera connected on unmanaged switch? Power OFF and restart switch or try connecting on Router and not on switch.
You must be sure there is no IP conflict or that something happened on cabling

So looks like your firmware is newer than mine.

I think the 'user pass' can be ruled out as putting in a wrong password in pic below stops it working with FFMPEG tab.



Is it something to do with http:// stream that seems like iSpy can't see no more but ODM can??

Is this one of those problems only a factory reset 'may' fix it?? Which I really don't want to go down that path either!

I could try that to see if it works, then use the config file to restore settings (which probably breaks it again) or my config file fails altogether and then I have to set this thing up from scratch again!!

The thing that doesn't make sense is on the remote pc ODM can see the stream but iSpy can't??
Really don't know what more to try/ do with this??

Maybe? If you did try that, it's really not that hard to configure the settings again... you could do "restore to default" rather than restore to factory so you don't have to recreate user/password and basic network info which we know are working at this point. But I don't think it will fix anything.

If it is something to do with ONVIF versions, maybe downgrading to the older camera firmware might work? I'm starting to think it's because it's an older version of iSpy you are using along with the newer camera firmware... maybe try a new version... I see there is V7.0.9?

In any case, you have it working in ODM so it's definitely an issue specific to iSpy... on the other hand, it worked for me and my camera is running the same v18.2 ONVIF? uggh... we need an iSpy user/expert!

Try Angry ip scanner or Advanced IP scanner to check if another device on your network uses the same IP.
The simplest way to test is to check if this is working on VLC. If this works then it's the ispy incompatible

I tried with 'Advanced IP scanner' there is nothing else using the same IP. It works with VLC but only with rtsp://.

Yes I know, its just doesn't make sense!!

This issue with 'Onvif Device Manager' not working on the 2 local pc's, but its ok on the remote pc needs to be looked into more, as this may be where the problem is?

ODM can see the stream on all pc's but the local ones have limeted access?? Maybe thats why iSpy cant see it now??

I don't usually use ODM for anything, just for testing purpose, its been a long time since I have used it on the remote pc's, so im not sure if it even worked before the firmware update?

Nothing has changed with my cheap no name cam, it can be seen in ODM & iSpy locally & remote??

Could a firmware reinstall (if thats even possible) sometimes or has it been known to fix issues??

I am not sure but I think that ONVIF standard is necessaty for RTSP network protocol to work. No ONVIF interoperability, then no RTSP.

Is there a Mask or ROI set on your camera stream?
Try deleting them and also try to disable all Display Name, Date and Week from OSD Settings.
Also if your camera supports audio, select on Video Type only the Video Stream. Not the Video&Audio

I tried reinstalling the newer firmware again, from a new download, it made no difference.

Noticed I had a download of the older firmware in the folder, so I reinstalled that and onvif in iSpy is working again!
So I think I will just stick with that version now!!!!!!

Something in that new firmware has changed and iSpy can't see/ use the http:// url?

When iSpy can see the http:// url it then shows the available streams, as rtsp:// url's like in pic below.

(ODM can still see both url's & use them? but iSpy can't) Local ODM still has its problem??

There is something new in the 'Integration Protocol' tab on the new firmware, that is in pic below.

Your 'Integration Protocol' looks more like my older version.
So maybe its something related to the new line in settings?? (marked red in the pic)



Anyway no more firmware updates for this cam anymore!! (at least I was able to go back to previous version which I didn't think was possible)
