Is there any compromise in a varifocal 2.8-12mm lens as to a fixed lens camera. Is the image still as sharp on a VF camera, and do they stay in focus. Will a VF do as good a job as a 12mm fixed lens camera.

11 cameras. All POE bar 2. The 2 cameras connect to the NVR via the LAN port. Had no problem doing it this way with the HiWatch NVR.

It was a 2016 version, but i found the firmware update for the latest. The unit i have is a 16ch POE 7616NI-I2/16P. All of my POE cameras are working fine. But i have 2 that use the same cable to a TP-Link Spliter. The NVR has found them but it wont let me add them as there is no room.

I have watched a couple of video's about how to connect a siren to the NVR. What i would like to know, when using line crossing to trigger the alarm, can it be set to just beep once or twice. So it just lets me know someone is on my driveway or coming to the door.
