Analog vs IP
I wanted to comment on an analog camera system vs IP.
I generally much prefer IP than analog.
However, where analog might come in handy. If one has a limited budget and a large building/property to cover going analog might be an option.
1. Analog is cheaper than IP.
2. But more importantly, one can run long cables to power an analog camera without having to worry about the 100 meter limit on the network cable for an IP camera.
I am setting up a temp analog system to monitor an empty but somewhat big property on a limited budget and thus running long cables.
However, for permanent installs try to stick with IP cameras and if possible invest in things like Acusense to reduce false alarms on camera triggers.
