Trying to get the LED lights on my ColorVu 8mp IP cameras.

On the sensitivity slider 1 - 7

Which is the highest sensitivity? So the camera lights come on sooner when it's dusk not black dark?

What does the context sensitive help show?
In the Config pages of any Hikvision device you will see a question mark tab at the top right.
Clicking that should show descriptive text explanations for the settings that are on the Config page you are currently viewing.
Those descriptions are not always as good as we might wish, but are often good enough to clarify settings and settle queries like this one.

It may be that you struggle to get the LEDs to come on at dusk. The ColorVu models are designed with a larger image sensor and F1.0 lens aperture so that they need very little light and the LED is there for when there is no ambient light. First try it on 1 which should make them come on sooner.

What do you have the shutter set to currently? (if at default it may be 1/12sec or 1/25sec) If they don't come on soon enough, you could use a faster shutter speed which will reduce the light getting to the image sensor. Each doubling of the shutter speed halves the light reaching the sensor. Setting a faster shutter speed may force the LEDs on, in order for the sensor to get sufficient light.
