DS-2CD2387G2-LSU/SL vs DS-2CD2347G2-LSU/SL - 8MP vs 4MP

Hi, I am looking to add two more cameras. Currently I have two DS-2CD2347G1-LU (4MP).
I am considering DS-2CD2387G2-LSU/SL 8MP ColorVu with Two-Way Audio. Is it really worth to invest in 8mp, how much improvement comparing with 4MP DS-2CD2347G2-LSU/SL?
Another question - I've noticed that some sellers sell this camera with some pattern on the side next to the Hikvision branding that looks like a speaker holes, but some without.
What is the difference? Which one is the proper one version?

whether or not to go with 4MP or 8MP is really down to the area you need to cover, over smaller areas/distances (10-15m) the quality difference between 4 & 8MP is going to be less noticeable and so a 4MP would be fine. For larger areas the 8MP will give you greater detail over longer distances.

In regards to the difference in design, the model without the holes is actually the LU model without the speaker and the model with the holes is the LSU/SL model with the speaker and the holes simply help the sound dissipate.

Hi Dan, thank you for your answer. This is what I thought, I got confused because even on Hikvision web site DS-2CD2387G2-LSU/SL is shown without the holes DS-2CD2387G2-LSU/SL
