Hi all,

don't know is there some post about this but a customer contacted me today saying that his DS-7104N-SN/P went on chinese by itself.

Your opinion, does FW upgrade can solve this problem?

Has any of you encoured whit this kind of problem?

They might have accidentally changed the language on the NVR, which can be changed in the first dropdown of the NVR's basic settings, which it the page you are taken to right away when you select Configuration, shown below, from the local menu:

Are you able to confirm the current firmware version being run on the NVR?
An upgrade may automatically change the language back to English, we always recommend upgrading anyway.

I can see similar issues have been reported online with this NVR, for which this firmware seemed to fix things and is worth trying - Google Drive: 7100 Series Chinese to English 3.13 Firmware
