DS7616NI-K1 Firmware Confusion

Just purchased a second hand (But supposedly brand new) DS-7616NI-K1 NVR. Upon arrival, it reports firmware version V4.72.107, Build 220914. What has me confused is the different hardware versions, specifically (B), (C), etc.

My NVR states 'Hardware Version: B-R-K9B2-00', which made me wonder if this was a (B) type unit. However, looking on the Hikvision Firmware Portal, the latest firmware version for the (B) version is 4.30.097. (See Here). I can only see V4.72.xxx under the section for (C) type NVR's, and even here, the firmware does not quite match. See below details of my NVR, hoping someone can help me identify the unit and point me in the direction of correct firmware. I believe the 'RR' in the serial means 'Region Unspecified', not sure if this is relevant when selecting firmware?

Device Model: DS-7616NI-K1
Serial No: DS-7616NI-K11620230111CCRRL18349743WCVU
Firmware Version: V4.72.107 build 220914
Hardware Version: B-R-K9B2-00

The reason I am asking is because A) I am confused as to which version of the NVR I actually have, and B) more importantly, I am having an issue setting up an NFS 'NetHDD' on the NVR. I have managed this previously with standalone IP cameras, however when trying the same with the NVR, it gets stuck at 20% Initializing for a few seconds, and then shows as 'Abnormal'. Was considering trying a different firmware version, but I am seriously scared of bricking the unit!

I have just spotted a very small (C) on the label of my unit which I hadn't spotted before. Attached is a picture of the label. Does this mean the unit is a (C) type unit?

Latest according to Hik Partner Pro and the global Hikvision site is 4.72.109_231007.

Yours is definitely a (c) revision model.

Thank you. I have now upgraded to v4.72.109 and everything went well.

Slightly unrelated (may need another thread), however in the specs for this unit, I see that it claims to support 'Motion 2.0' on 4 channels. I thought this was great, as I would be able to use this to reduce the false triggers I get using intrusion detection on my DS-2CD2325FWD-I. In the NVR GUI, before adding any cameras, there are 'Human' and 'Vehicle' check boxes under the Motion Detection tab. They are of course non-functional without any cameras added.

However, when I add my camera, for example the DS-2CD2325FWD-I or an RTSP camera, these options disappear. In fact, it seems all the NVR is doing is acting as a control panel for the motion detection and other events built-into the camera... Is this to be expected or not? I was under the impression the NVR could carry out some event processing itself, but perhaps not?

You have the DS-7616NI-K1. The Human and Vehicle check boxes relate to cameras with AcuSense which yours don't have. To get AcuSense processing on the NVR you'd need the DS-7616NXI-K1.

I see. I was under the impression, based on the spec sheet, that my unit supported 'Motion 2.0', something different (and slightly inferior) to AcuSense.

However I think my misconception was probably that the NVR can do event processing itself, rather than relying on the event processing within a camera. Is this correct?

With your NVR the cameras have to be AcuSense models - the camera does the processing. With an NXI model NVR, the processing can be carried out by the NVR (to some extent - it's not as good as using the camera as there are limitations).
