HDD Failed after two years in my customer's NVR?

HI Julian here i have sold a customer a 16 port iseries nvr and after two years the hard drive has failed
and it is going back to the hikvision agents
does the new m series NVR have a solid state hard drive

It has a standard SATA interface. Although suppliers will install a drive to suit, they don’t come from Hikvision with drives installed.

What model of drive was it that failed? It’s important that model is on the compatible list. I’ve only ever used Seagate Surveillance/Skyhawk or Western Digital Purple models myself.

There should be no need for a solid state drive so long as the model is compatible and meets the annual throughput required.
