NVR Admin password lost - what options do we have?

Hi,

I have a customer who has a hikvision nvr about 8 years old.
He doesn't know who installed the nvr and cameras, as the person may have left town.
He has lost his ADMIN LOGIN PASSWORD.

Nobody local knows who installed it as well.
I have contacted Hikvision NZ and Australia and all they can tell me from the data in the nvr is that its came out of a warehouse in Singapore from a distributor.

Any ideas how we can default or find the admin password please?

For a typical Hikvision NVR you should be able to work through the password reset process, whereby you export a file that you send to Hikvision Support and they will return a reset file.

You will need an installer to work with Hikvision for you though, as they will not work directly with end-users.
