Help Adding an external button to trigger doorbell to a DS-KH6320-WTE1

Hi! I just boguht a doorbell with an indoorstation DS-KH6320-WTE1 , I have wired a button switch like this to the indoor station


I want to be able to trigger the doorbell by pressing that button, is that possible?

Yes, connect any AIN from 1 to 8 and GND

Then define that Alarm input to be doorbell.

I saw that, but do I need it to deliver any kind of energy?

No power needed, you can actually short circuit them and you should hear ding dong

Did you get this resolved? I have a similar issue. I connected my pushbutton to alarm input 1. It plays a dingdong sound when pressed, but no display on the screen to tell me what has happened, and no push to the mobile app or the indoor extension station.
