Hikvision DDNS Service Discontinued
Unfortunately, Hikvision's popular free DDNS service, HiDDNS, is set to be discontinued by the end of this month.

HiDDNS saw widespread use, which is one of the main reasons cited for it being discontinued. Indeed, our guide on the setup of HiDDNS is one of the most frequently read threads on this forum, which shows just how important the service was for many Hikvision end-users who relied on a dynamic IP address.

Now, users will be expected to switch to Hikvision's cloud-based service, Hik-Connect, which has already been available on the Android and iOS app stores for free for a few months now.

Alternatively, Hikvision devices also support DDNS connections by default from the below popular providers:

- DynDNS
- NO-IP
- PeanutHull
- IPServer

When attempting to connect or login to your HiDDNS account, users will be greeted with the below notice from Hikvision (click to expand the full size).

This is quite a short time-frame to make any application adjustments that might be required for your system, so make sure you act quickly and take the steps necessary to hook everything up to Hik-Connect or HiDDNS before you're out of time.

Let us know if you have any issues or questions in the meantime and we'll try to help you out.

I read it, as existing users will not be effected (previous registered devises will continue to function on the HiDDNS platform).
