Hi all

I have a Hikvision DS -KV6113 WPE1 (c) intercom and all works really well with a POE switch.

I also have an Annke POE NVR which has around 6 POE ports available and so I'd love to ditch the switch and plug the Intercom directly into the NVR.

As soon as I take away the switch and plug directly into the NVR, the intercom powers up but is no longer recognised in SADP. I imagine the NVR is preventing any access to the internet/SADP?

I've read that it may not be possible to directly connect the intercom in this way and that using a POE switch before remotely adding the intercom to the NVR is the only option.

I've also read that there is one way of losing the switch -

- enable virtual host in nvr
- give the doorbell a manual Ip of the hikvision poe network
ip: 192.168.254.200 (for example, have to be not used)
subnet: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.254.1
- create a static route in your router
Network 192.168.254.0/24 (subnet 255.255.255.0) use <IP OF THE NVR FROM YOUR NETWORK .. example 192.168.1.48> as gateway
- connect the doorbell to a poe port

I'm afraid that I'm not brainy enough to make the above instructions work, but has anyone had any success in using this intercom with a non-Hikvision NVR?

Thanks in advance

Rich
