How-to: How to disable the password for monitor access to a Hikvision NVR

Is there a way to set a Hikvision NVR to boot into the live view screen on its HDMI output rather than having the log in splash screen until the user has logged in?

I have one particular client who’s NVR is on a HDMI switch so there isn’t a monitor local to the NVR.

Found a fix,​

Locally on the Server output (not web login)​

Go to settings,​

​

Disable password, it will now boot to live view, password is only for local view and not remote access.​
