Hi,
Recently had to update to Catalina on my Mac, now I am unable to view any cameras connected to NVR DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P.
I just get the message "no plugin detected"
IS there any fix/update for this?
Tried Chrome too and same message. Possibly something to do with Catalina only having support for 64 bit code, or some other security
change they have made?

Thanks
D

Are you running the latest firmware for the 7608-K2 NVR? should be v4.21.005

About a year ago Safari (which was the last browser on Mac to work with Hikvision) updated and removed support for the plugin that Hikvision and some other IP brands use.

There was a period when there was no browser on MacOS that supported Hikvision's old NPAPI plugin, we had warned Hikvision of this incoming event for a while and they left it too late, in the months that followed they quickly put a solution together that allowed certain NVRs and cameras to run "plugin free". At first, this did not cover the K-series (K2) NVR models but then just a couple of months ago Hikvision released v4.21.005 for the K-series which is the same firmware as the I-series and should support the 'plugin free' solution.
