Just loaded it...all good so far :)

From the release notes:

I was hoping this would be added at some point... tested it and it works well, just as described in release notes... odd thing is I read the release notes before I loaded the new firmware and tested this functionality before loading the new firmware... it worked before loading the new firmware so I suspect it's Hik-Connect 6.9.300 that added this new functionality?

I haven't updated the NVR to 5.04.065 yet but I've just updated HC to the latest version 6.9.300 (it didn't auto-update again) and looked for the new feature 'Support configure arming/disarming schedules on HC, auto arm/silent arm/disarm each channel at specific time (hour:mintue)' but its not there for me?

I will check again after updating the NVR

The new option to arm/disarm in Hik-Connect is there when selecting the three dots ... at the right where the name of your Network Recorder is listed.
You must have updated the NVR to the latest firmware.

I've been using the option to Arm/Disarm areas in Hik-Connect for at least a year now so it's not a new feature. I seem to remember setting it up on customers M NVR that is still on V4 firmware.

Its the arm/disarm 'scheduling' function that I was referring to. It is definitely not there for me using the latest HC version 6.9.300 as suggested by johnfitzy.
Although the manual arm/disarm function has been there for quite some time now, you have to remember to rearm if you turn it off!
If this new feature works as stated, it will allow the area to automatically rearm at a set time.
I guess I will find out once I update the NVR

The arm/disarm 'scheduling' function is working on my system NVR DS-7616NI-M2/16P firmware V5.04.065 build 250530...

When I read the release notes for V5.04.065, I tested this new(?) functionality before I upgraded the NVR firmware from V5.04.060 to V5.04.065... it was already working in V5.04.060.... my iPhone Hik-connect was already on Version 6.9.300.20250528.3 when I tested with V5.04.060.

So, I don't know when the functionality was introduced, but it's definitely there and working now.

Yeah it's available on mine now I know what everyone is referring to. Annoyingly ('annoyingly' seems to be a word I use a lot when speaking about Hikvision features) those arm/disarm schedules are only available per camera or manually selected group of cameras. So if you disarm one of your already configured areas you need to make sure to group the correct cameras matching those in the areas when configuring.

OK... I have now upgraded NVR to v5.04.060 (I was lazy and still on v5.04.050_250124)
The arm/disarm 'scheduling' function has now appeared in HC.

So it looks like the 'scheduling' was introduced with NVR v5.04.060 and HC v6.9.300

I will upgrade to the latest v5.04.065 tomorrow

5.04.066 is available as mentioned in one of the other firmware threads. I don't see any differences.

Upgrade not working from .dav firmware file. Any ideas ?

My 7608NI-M2/8P currently has V5.03.020 b240904 and works but looking at threads here and Hik portal I can see newer firmware versions.
Downloaded from UK HIK portal both 5.04.065 and 5.04.066, extracting the .dav file from each.

Same issue on attempting manual upgrade via web browser i/f which is "Upgrade Stopped. Please check network connection and try again."

What am I doing wrong in the upgrade process (I have done this before on both M- and my previous I- without issue) ?

Should I just stay on V5.03.020 on basis of "it ain't broke..." ?

I see in earlier thread that a couple of folks have had same issue but there was not a definitive answer or confirmation of resolution from my searching. TIA.

My WAG is you're using WiFi somewhere between your browser & the NVR. For me, using WiFi is a crap shoot (sometimes it works & sometimes not) during firmware upgrades. My guess is it is a timing thing, meaning, NVR doesn't like any delays in receiving IP packets during the firmware upgrade process. By delays we're talking milliseconds here.

Solution for me was:
  • switch to a "totally" wired connection between the browser & NVR.... when perfoming firmware upgrades, OR
  • limit, as much as possible, any & all other WiFi activity (& keep your fingers crossed).

Thanks..both PC and NVR are wired already. I'll stop everything else running on PC see if that affects it.

I'll investigate further if this is the issue in terms of latency. But rubbish if that's the issue TBH tho.
