^^^

That is strange looking... is it the NVR GUI or a camera GUI that you are accessing there at 192.168.1.102? Something does not look right here:

Can you post a pic of the first page you see after you login to the NVR (or camera) like this:

It's the camera GUI I was trying to access

I have reinstalled the plug-in for the' N'th time and I have live view again although I am still getting the "Invalid childDevID" error when I try and access the camera GUI.

Do you have "virtual host" enabled? Are you trying to access the camera GUI directly from the browser like this:

Or are you trying to access the camera GUI from withing the NVR GUI... if so, can you post a screenshot that shows how you are trying to access the camera GUI?... showing what button/link you are hitting in the NVR to access the camera GUI.

EDIT: Then I'll try the same thing here.

Hi,
I am trying to reach the camera from the NVR GUI by clicking the right hand side icon on the Device access page. I get a message to activate remote access by clicking OK.
I will put up a screen shot of the relevant pages later today.

This button?

I haven't used that before, but when I do (after enabling device remote configuration under "... More"), I get a new window that only allows camera configuration changes... the live view and playback functions are not there:

What do you get it you use this button, (should be the login page for the camera, and is live view working there when you login)? (You may need to use the scroll bar to move to the right of the list):

Hi,

I must be using a different firmware to you, I do not have a Common Settings page within configuration. I have a system Configuration page on the left of the GUI and within that I have system configuration.

I also have nothing under the heading "Connect" within Device Management, No listed IP addresses!
I do have remote configuration on.
Clicking the right icon for each camera used to work before the Edge update!!

That's the Camera's GUI menu... we probably have different cameras... mine are mostly DS-2387G2-LU... what camera models do you have?

I have solved the problem, I had to enable ISUP service in Device Configuration /Access Service. This then populated all the IP addresses in 'Connect' heading.
I can reach all cameras except 1? it just times out!

Good! What's strange though is that I do not have that enabled:

Is live view on the camera GUIs working for you now?

Hi,
I have disabled ISUP as you have and I still have the Camera IP addresses showing.
I have absolutely no idea what I did yesterday to get the IP addresses showing?
I can click on all the IP addresses bar one and see the cameras. One camera keeps timing out.
I will go and try and reboot that camera.

I still get the error message when clicking the icon in Device manager though!

It seems like some people load the plug-in and it doesn't work right away? Strange but if it's working now well enough, I guess!

I still get the error message when clicking the icon in Device manager though!

The only think I can think of is maybe try clearing the browser cache and cookies?
