no more thumbnail in the hik-connect app notifications

Hi, for about three months now, notifications have been working fine on the app, but without the thumbnails. I have two camera models, and it doesn't work on either of them. This happens regardless of the storage type (Samba or SD card):
1 DS-2CD2387G3 and 2 DS-2CD2347G2.
Have you encountered this problem?

No one else has had this problem. I assume, therefore, that everyone is seeing the thumbnails displayed in the hik-connect app.

Howdy @Bobby ... yea, the thumbnails have been working fine for me, so it must be something different in your configuration...

Have you ensured you are running the latest version of Hik-Connect?


I don't think this is relevant, but do you have anything configured on the camera's "Picture Capture" menu page?

Actually, more likely relevant, do you have "Upload to FTP/Memory Card/NAS" selected for the events that are being sent to Hik-Connect?

The app is up to date, I haven't enabled anything in "Picture Capture," and the "Upload to FTP/Memory Card/NAS" option is not enabled. I'll try it and wait to see if it works.

Hi, I'm back because something strange happened.
When a problem occurred with my storage, I got an alert and also a thumbnail! I don't understand it at all.
If this can help anyone, and especially if it can help me... lol

Hi, to answer my own question and in case it helps anyone else: the problem was with my AdGuard service, which was blocking access to the website "eualarm-ocipost.ezvizlife.com". Thanks again.
