We have several Hikvision IP cameras and all perform well with one exception. This one is a DS-2CD2646G2-IZS AcuSense Motorized Varifocal Bullet. It has failed completely twice in the last 3 months and has had to be rest to factory setting.
This week it has started to suffer from picture breakup on recorded events - mostly at night but not exclusively. Most times the picture will become green all over and through this green one can see a faint ghosting of the detail in the scene. Sometimes the ghosted image is duplicated.
Other times, the picture will break up in to small dots.
The picture breakup occurs when motion has been detected which initiates the event to be recorded.
I have reduced the picture quality to medium and the frame rate to 20 fps and done various other things to reduce the load on the camera but this has not worked,
Given that this camera has been erratic previously, is it now time to junk it?
