screen tear and inconsistent recording?

Hi all, i have a possible user error that i cannot seem to get sorted, i'm running 2 x Reolink 4MP IP cameras and 2 x 4MP Hikvision IP cameras over a POE switch, connected to a HIKVISION DVR, the 2 Hikvision cameras work perfectly with the DVR and record and display well, however the 2 Reolink cameras recordings are jittery even though the fps is at 30.
i am also experiencing screen tearing on both the live view (sub stream) and the recording (main stream) i have played around with the resolutions and FPS and the bit rate but no combination seems to resolve the issues.

any suggestions or advise?

What compression CODEC (H.264/H.265/other) are the Reolink cameras using?

Some manufactures have custom/manufacturer-specific CODECs that might not be supported by the Hikvision NVR which might be why you are seeing distorted images because it can't properly uncompress the camera streams.

Also, what are the model numbers for your Reolink cameras?
