Hikvision HiWatch firmware update

Mom having the same issue as everyone else
Got a hiwatch ipc-d120
But don’t seem to be able to find the correct firmware

Check here in the Hikvision download portal for Hikvision's HiWatch products:
DOWNLOAD PORTAL

Click on the ReadMe at the bottom of the list.
Look for your HiWatch product in that text document:
(the current list on 23rd October 2018 is reproduced here)

It shows that your HiWatch IPC-D120 IP camera uses the E4 firmware.
At that same Hikvision portal page click on the link titled E4.
You will see that currently it lists and offers only one firmware version (V5.5.4) for your camera.

As they only list the one firmware version for your camera, did you check that you are not already running that version?
i.e. upgrade will appear to fail if you are already on that version

yup
all the above c:\digicap.dev connected via ie 11
and rebooted the camera as well and tried again
still the same error

Did you purchase your HiWatch camera from a UK reseller?
Is it a UK model?
Would normally have WR in the middle of the serial number for Western Region.
If not, it will not accept European firmware.

Sorry then, I cannot see why it's not working.
We don't sell HiWatch, so have no practical experience with this range.
It's probably best to contact your reseller or Hikvision Technical Support.

I've found a Hikvision portal specifically for Hiwatch here:
E-Portal

You have to create a login.
There seem to be two newer fiirmware releases for your camera there.

I accessed that portal via what seems to be a website dedicated to Hiwatch - Home | HiWatch
See at the top right a red button marked 'E-Portal File Download'

I duno if its the same problem, but I found that some (for example mine) got 2 versions of same firmware.

I own HWI-D120H-M and i must download firmware with IPCR prefix, not IPC ! So newest (in time of writing) firmware for me is not "IPC_E3_EN_STD_5.5.98_200420", but few folders backwards "IPCR_E3_EN_STD_5.5.94_190902".
