Apologies for this very basic question.

Video output via HDMI of my K2 NVR is 1080P hence resolution of 1920 x 1080. It's connected to a 4K monitor, resolution of 3840 x 2160.

My cameras are set to record footage above 1080p resolution.

I'm presuming that due to the NVR's video output limitations I won't be able to view footage either recorded or in live view mode at anything above 1080p through the NVRs video output.

The only way I can view footage above 1080p is to download the recordings and play them on an appropriate device.

Woul appreciate thoughts / comments on my assumptions.

Edit.

Data Sheet says.

"HDMI Video output of up to 4k resolution".

So the question now is how do I change the settings on the NVR to achieve that as I cannot see the option. I am still operating version 3 firmware. It is the latest version.

DOH. Find the setting should have looked a bit closer. Sorry for my ignorance

No problem :)
If you could share what you found and changed it might help somebody else in the future, thanks.

Yes no problem Phil.

Remembering this is version 3 software and not version 4.

The setting to change both VGA and HDMI output resolution is found as an option in the General tab of the Configuration menu.
