M Series Fan Noise?

I have still got my 7608 K2 on v3 firmware but am thinking it's about time to get v4. Also to look at upgrading a couple of cams so it's gonna be an M series NVR for me rather than just a firm upgrade on the K.

I may opt for the 16 channel as opposed to the 8 but my main concern is fan noise hence the thread title.

So. Does anyone have opinion on whether the 8 channel M is noisier or quieter than the K or even the I series 8s. Also does anyone feel the 16 channel is far noisier than both.

I would say that if there is a noise difference between the K, I, and M-series NVRs it would be small and barely noticeable.

The only way to greatly reduce the noise would be to change the fan as you are already discussing in the below forum thread:

Is there an alternative “CASE fan” for the Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-M2 / 8P The one that comes with the NVR a little noisy. Thanks.
