No sound on saved video

Hi guys

Just a quick question, I have sound active on my cameras and on my NVR I can hear sound on the playback and live monitoring.
However, I recently clipped and saved some footage to a memory stick. when I eventually managed to get it to play - only using VSPlayer, there is no sound on the playback, is there anything obvious I have done wrong?

VS Player should play sound provided that the video is not muted (the volume icon at the right side of the playback toolbar).

If you use VLC Player to watch the footage, does it play sound?

If not, check all of the audio settings are the same as in this guide (for both main stream and sub stream):

Definitely check that the encoding version being used is "G.711ulaw" in Configuration > Video / Audio > Video,
And that "Record Audio" is ticked in Configuration > Storage > Schedule Settings > Advanced
