NVR DS-7608NI-k2/8P upgrade?

Hi,

I have a Hikvision 8 channel NVR model DS-7608NI-k2/8P.

Cameras on this are:
5x DS-2CD2385FWD-I 8MP
1 x 8MP hybrid
1 Hilook 5MP

So, a total of 7 cameras with long cable runs!

When adding the hybrid camera, the system seems to time-out on loading occasionally and has become clunky on playback!

What do you recommend as an upgrade NVR to overcome this?
I do not intend adding anymore cameras!

Hi @diego

We've found the 8MP AcuSense, ColorVu, and Hybrid Light use more bandwidth than some of the older 8MP models, this might be why you are seeing instability since adding the Hybrid camera.

For the current 8MP cameras, we recommend using them with an M-series NVR like the DS-7608NI-M2/8P as they support more incoming bandwidth than the older K-series & I-series NVRs.

Thanks for that ! I realized when I installed the 8 meg hybrid it started to struggle ! i will upgrade soon ,thanks again.
