Pauses between continuous motion detection?

I have a problem with several Hikvision IP Cameras. The problem is that I would want it to record all actions when motion detection occurs, but instead there are 10-20sec pauses (so no file containts that footage) between the video files it records on SD card, and this is not because there was no motion in that 10-20secs.

I have tried several sensitivity settings, nothing helped with this specific problem. I cannot seem to find any other option I can finetune to make this work as I would like.

Any ideas?

If you have them set to record motion only, it sounds as though you're wanting then to record a little longer after the initial trigger? If so you just need to adjust the post event recording duration. In the camera web menu go to:

Configuration > Storage > Schedule Settings then click on the 'Advanced' box.

You can see on the image of one of mine below that the default is to record 5 seconds before and 5 seconds after the trigger. Just up the post record time to 20 or 30 seconds. That'll avoid the situation where someone is stationary for a few seconds and it stops recording.
