Play back rate of night time footage seems to be at x 4 times speed?

Hello,

Bit of a weird one, When I play back any night time footage, it's as though it's set to x 4 speed.

So VLC player plays the downloaded clip, and it'll squeeze say about 20 seconds of footage into about 8 seconds. You can see the clock on the video going faster. It's the same if I play it back via the DVR in it's own window.

Any ideas?

Checked all the settings, formatted the HDD etc.
