Hi everyone ,

Does anyone have any idea if Hivvision plans to adapt the 'DS-2CD2747G2H-LIPTRZS2U/SL' model with ColorVue 3.0 and Audio 2.0 in the near future ? The only thing missing for me to have the motorized PTRZ functionality alongside ColorVue 3.0 and Audio 2.0 is the camera model I need for my future installations.

Thank you in advance :).

Kind regards,

François

I wouldn't think so. I expect ColorVu 3.0 is only available on the G3 models. For me Audio 2.0 is not all as it has been hyped. With Environmental Noise Filter on the sound is electronic garble and a downgrade to the previous model.

Hi JB,

Thank you for your replay.

Oh well, darn it :/.

Still, it would be a good thing if they did it, wouldn't it ? I mean, if it can do the most, it can do the least. So they might as well integrate it into their entire range, or at least the motorized PTRZ cameras, because this feature is often very useful.

As for Audio 2, personally, encoded in AAC or PCM format, I'm very satisfied. But I must say that I previously had cameras from another brand where I only had the G.711 format... so you can imagine that anything would be better ^^. I don't have your experience, which would allow for a well-informed comparison :).

Audio 2.0 is fine, the issue is that with the noise filter turned on in the camera it's completely garbled. This isn't an issue on any of the previous models without Audio 2.0. I've tried the cameras with the noise filter turned on and gone through the various available codecs but the issue remains. I'm unsure where the issue lies - in the cameras encoding or the devices/app decoding. The only way around it is to turn off the noise filter and suffer unbearable noise from the wind.

Hikvision marketing Audio 2.0 as 'crystal clear' is hyperbole at best and more likely total BS.

Speaking from experience, by far the best audio I've obtained is by using one of Hikvision's powered external microphones. That camera you linked has a microphone input, so you could add one. The model is Hikvision DS-2FP2020 Hi-Fi Microphone- DS-2FP2020#NA it requires 12VDC power to operate. If you use POE you can get POE Splitters that split 12VDC from the Ethernet cable, then use that to power the camera and the microphone and plug the Ethernet output into the camera. Or run an external 12VDC power supply.
