Firmware Hikvision DS-7608NI-E2 / 8P NVR firmware update?

If the firmware works I wouldn't expect there to be any major problems as this update is only a couple of versions newer than your current firmware.
If your NVR is from the AUS region and this firmware is just completely incompatible, the update will just fail and not complete.
If the upgrade is successful, you probably won't be able to downgrade to your old V3 firmware as the upgrade will have stepped you into the V4 firmware versions which bring lots of new updates including the new V4.0 GUI.

The good news is the update to V4.1.10 build171107 worked. One slight issue so far is one camera not displaying in split screen. I have 5 camera's so I have a 3 * 3 split. It does display just 1 view. Do we go further or leave it at that?

Thanks for your help. A bit of a haul but I've managed to install all the firmware updates, and all appears well.

Using one of the serial numbers (all the same model) and HIToolsDelivery it is recommending V5.6.2_190701. I've found this firmware on the EU portal.
Not quite sure how to go about this. Upgrade shows a camera upgrade option. Says 'The version is already the latest'. Stumped at this point?

Good to hear the NVR updates worked, you can always check for the newest firmware versions by using the Hikvision Firmware Tool on their website.
In regards to the cameras, you are quite far behind with the firmware so we would also recommend updating these in steps like you did with the NVR, the list of firmware versions we recommend updating to is below:

I recently introduced a new HiLook PTZ into my set up and all installed perfectly fine.
I used both 'HiToolsDelivery' and SADP to assign IP and as a comparison.
Interestingly the 'HiToolsDelivery' found an online update for my NVR Hikvision DS-7608NI-E2 / 8P
V3.4.103 build181226 installed fine and all is well.
I see there is actually a newer firmware v3.4.106 build 230316 available. HiTools does not find this one online.

I presume this FW will work on my NVR ? It would be good to understand the release notes and what changes they have updated. Hikvision are not great at this !
I would have to do it manually and there is always a risk updating FW so I am uber careful before proceeding with these things.
Also I note the latest firmware v3.4.106 is Multi-Lingual. Does that include English ? Currently all my FW has been the EN versions up until now and I am guessing that is why HiTools may not be indicating an available upgrade. There is only the ML v3.4.106 in the repository ?

You should be fine to update to the v3.4.106 firmware, based on the 2023 release date of this firmware and the fact there was also a 2019 v3.4.106 version makes me think this latest version was probably just a patch for a security vulnerability that was reported last year and won't introduce many other major updates.
The firmware you have linked above is an 'EN' English version.

If you plan to upgrade some or all of the cameras you currently have at some point in the future, we recommend going with the DS-7608NI-M2/8P 8-channel M-series NVR to future-proof your system.

Like I explained to ogradyr earlier in this thread, we cannot guarantee that UK/EU firmware will work on AUS hardware.
Here is the full list of NVR firmware versions and Camera firmware versions, you can try updating to some of the other versions between your current firmware and the versions I recommend previously to see if they work.
If not, you will have to try and get in contact with Hikvision Australia and/or an Australian Hikvision reseller/installer help you locate the correct firmware for your region.

Yes, it was purchased on ebay Australia, but I believe it was all imported stock. Purchased in 2018.
So earlier i upgraded all my camera's to V5.6.821 build 230831. All working. That software doesn't come up on that list, it's actually from Canada.
I've tried both the Canada site and the list you gave me, i keep getting upgrade failed for the NVR firmware. Any other idea's?
