How to get my old camera working with a new browser?

i have an old DS-2CD2742FWD-IS which i just cannot get to work with the latest chrome browser.
was fine with internet explorer and the hikvision webactivex pluging for internet explorer. but now i have new computer with no IE, what am i to do ?
is there a new plug in for chrome, that i am missing ?

Use Edge with the IE extension. Make sure you load the login screen, hit the IE extension button, then login.
