Ideal Bitrate for DS-2CD2387G2-LSU-SL on an M Series NVR?

My findings were inconclusive in terms of what the Bitrate I should set. The camera is (DS-2CD2387G2-LSU-SL) on an M Series HikVision NVR. 'Video Quality' is currently set at highest, while resolution is 3840*2160.

Wondering if any guidance can be shed for optimum settings, please?

1) 'Max Bitrate'?
2) 'Max Average Bitrate'?
3) 'Bitrate Type' (Variable or Constant)?
4) Frame Rate is at 25fps
4) Video Encoding Currently set to H. 265
5) H265+ is On

Tried to cross-check on this HikVision Support Article, too: (https://www.hikvision.com/content/d...commended-Bit-Rate-at-General-Resolutions.pdf)

With my new 7616NI-M2/16P and same camera I had been using
3840x2160
Variable
Medium
20fps
General
8192
H265
I frame 50.
It suffers from a small amount of jerky vision with moving cars only on live view.
Increasing settings only makes it worse.
I have my live view set at fluency and monitor 4k 60hz.
The other 5 cams in use are 2385s.

Will watch this thread.

Thank you, @uvs-300. Will cross-check against what I have.
Its the jerky vision on playback thats got me puzzled.
No matter what setting is changed relating to the camera just cant get 100% smooth vision of moving cars.
Some high settings get the seconds time display way out of wack and the seconds hang then speed up to catch up.
Have run out of ideas.
NVR and cam are on latest firmware.
I would be interested in any findings.

I now have found settings which produce smooth non jerky live viewing of fast moving cars.
3840x2160
Constant
Medium
25fps
General
8192
H265
I frame 50.
Time will tell fingers crossed
Hope it helps you
